What is the name or author of a book that was published to look like a composition book?

This is a book I announce about 20 years ago. Unfortunatly, I don't know the name of the book or author ( I recall--asking the impossible-looking for a book by it's cover), but it was a book about a class of rudimentary school age children that were kidnapped.

I spectacle if it's "Notes on the Hauter Experiment" by Bernice Grohskopf? I've never know it, but your description reminded me of this query on Loganberrybooks.com:
