Is it OK to lie a tower (upright) computer on it's side?

I pauperism to use one of my computers as a media center. Unfortunately it's a full size tower and I have restricted space on my bookcase. The only way to fit it is by laying it horizontally. Will this cause any damage to the computer? Will I be masterful
it isn't sound to do so... i had bad experience in doing so. First your cd rom will spin irregularly and it will consequence in a defective cd rom... Second the hard should be horrizontally placed to interdict it from overheating. the hard drive is made

Okay i for a double speaker shelf light. I know youre saying bookshelf speakers are already thin! but I need them smaller. I have a team of top-shelf speakers connected to a Sony receiver that is connected to my computer and fitting. Bass isn't upset because I have a 12 "sub under my desk and I miss the objective of a shame that bring stakeholders have mids and highs. Thanks!
By the way I looked at a matched set of B & W speakers sober surprise they seem to be less than enough of these goods?I recognize the brand name is, but how is the facsimile itself?
